Abstract
The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of heat losses in hot water pipelines and the impact of insulation materials on their magnitude. Within the thesis, selected insulation materials were analyzed in terms of their properties and suitability for use in hot water systems. The solution included a theoretical calculation of heat losses based on real input data as well as a calculation derived from measurements on an actual hot water pipeline. The results of both approaches were subsequently compared. The thesis also focuses on comparing the emergency state of insulation with the state after a general overhaul and on proposing an alternative solution using different insulation materials. The obtained results show that the choice of suitable insulation has a crucial impact on the magnitude of heat losses and thus on the efficiency of the entire hot water system.
