Abstract

This thesis deals with Earth gravity models and the calculation of the virtual strain tensor. There are zoomed in continuum mechanics, explanation of terms stress tensor and tensor of deformation, at the beginning. The next section is described gravity field and rise of Earth gravity models. In the paper is also processed a historical overview of Earth gravity models from 60th years to the present. There is analyzed in detail the latest and most accurate Earth gravity model EGM08. The last part is devoted to the calculation of the virtual shift, the virtual tensor of deformation, parameters of deformation and a graphical display in the selected areas. There are show in the possible geophysical applications, in finally.
