Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with designing two stages coaxial helical gearbox, which will be used for driving a belt conveyor with electric motor. In the opening there is a description of advantages and disadvantages of different gearbox types suitable for this application. Advantages of helical gears and HCR tooth profile over straight cut gears and standard tooth profile are also mentioned. In the next part, all tooth parameters are calculated by using software. All forces generated by gears are calculated, so all shafts and bearings which are designed after that can be inspected. In the next part there is a list of the most important design solutions in the gearbox which are explained by using images. In the end, there is an evaluation of the design - if the terms from assignment were accomplished.
