Aplikace 3D tisku při návrhu a výrobě podkov

Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the application of 3D printing in the design and manufacturing of horseshoes. In the introduction of the theoretical part, an overview of 3D printing and 3D scanning in the context of farriery and veterinary orthopaedics is given. This is followed by an introduction to farriery, an analysis of the criteria for the selection of suitable horseshoe materials, the use of high stress 3D printing and a brief description of 3D scanning. Based on the theoretical knowledge and the analysis of the methods, a functional prototype of the horseshoe was designed and manufactured, which was subjected to laboratory test and practical testing in real conditions. The results of these tests serve as a basis for a discussion focused on comparison with conventional horseshoe manufacturing methods, including an analysis of their advantages and limitations in a broader context. The final section summarises the achieved results, which are used to define a possible direction for further research and practical application.
