Abstract
This work focuses on the development of a\,modular device designed for complex testing of Hardware-in-the-Loop systems. In the introductory section, the reader is introduced to the challenges and motivations that led to it's creation.
This is followed by a\,chapter providing an overview of the popular microcontrollers and integrated circuits of ethernet controllers which are available on the market with description of the various communication buses associated with the device and each individual component.
The electrical design of the circuits is then described in detail, highlighting the rationale behind the choice of components and circuit configuration.
Finally, some of the parts of the circuitry is then verified using a\,simulation. Verification of the internal logic of the program and the way and capabilities of the device to communicate with the environment follows. At the end functionalities of the device itself are verified in practice.
