Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the design of a pellet press driven by a tractor PTO shaft. In the introductory part, a research focused on pellet pressing technology and characteristics of input raw materials is prepared. Subsequently, a design concept for a flat matrix plant suitable for smaller production capacities is proposed. The work includes a detailed description of the structural elements, including gearbox, shafts and pressing mechanism. Furthermore, design and control calculations of selected structural units are performed. The final part is devoted to FEA analysis, which verifies the strength design of the gearbox.
