Abstract
The target of this master thesis is to design an optimal source of compressed air for pneumatic mechanism. The first part deals with the importance of compressed air in industry, the next chapter deals with production of compressed air in compressor stations. The third part focuses on the air tank at the main source of compressed air for pneumatic mechanisms. The fourth chapter introduces the pneumatic mechanism for this master thesis and then calculates the size compressed air source. The fifth chapter id devoted to the design of tree variants of the size of the air tank, to which the calculations of the compressor size are added in the sixth chapter. The last chapter summarizes the methodology of designing the compresse air source. The benefit of this master thesis is the gradual instructions for calculating the size of the compressed air source.
