Abstract
This master thesis will discuss coupled parareal and Schwarz method allowing effective parallelization
of problems in space-time domain. Thesis studies numerical solution of transient heat
conduction problem. The numerical solution is bnased on the finite elements semi-semidiscretization
in space domain, wich leads to system of ordinary differential equations. We will first introduce
parareal method for parallelization in only time domain. Then we discuss Schwarz method for
parallelization in space domain. Finally, we will show how both methods can be coupled for
effective parallelization in time-space domain.
