SZOTKOWSKI, j.: The Proposal to Increase the Efficiency of the Cogeneration Unit Using the Heat Pump: Master thesis. Ostrava: VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Power Engineering, 2014, 45 p. Thesis head: doc. Ing. Míka J., CSc. Master thesis deals with a proposal to increase the efficiency of the cogeneration unit using a heat pump. The first part introduces the reader to the main terms of cogeneration, the emphasis is mainly placed on cogeneration with internal combustion engine with the last step of the introductory chapter focused on the calculation of idealized engine. Following chapter deals with the concept of a heat pump, where the main parameters, from which the proper design of a heat pump was made, were firstly calculated. Furthermore, the evaporator was designed according to the calculations. At the conclusion is this project economically compared with the original state without the installation of the heat pump.
