Abstract

This master's thesis deals with the weight reduction of the electric powertrain gears. The introduction presents the design possibilities of motorcycle powertrains and summarizes methods for gear weight reduction. Based on the analysis of the current state, several lightweight gear variants are proposed, utilizing topological optimization. The proposed models are subsequently subjected to static analysis and evaluated in terms of their properties. The influence of the weight reduction on gear performance is further assessed using KISSsoft computational environment. Recommendations are formulated and conclusions drawn based on the obtained results. The thesis also includes a set of technical drawings provided in the appendix.
