The bachelor's thesis deals with the optimization of support structures for 3D printing of
metals. Available additive manufacturing technologies, their construction, functionality and use
of materials are mentioned in the theoretical part. In the practical part, the material, printer and
software used to print the samples are listed. Furthermore, the creation of the samples, their
parameters and the implementation described in three different tests are presented. At the end,
the removal of supports from the samples and the final evaluation are described.
