Optimalizace výfukového traktu čtyřtaktního spalovacího motoru pro závodní vozidlo soutěže Formula Student

Abstract

This master’s thesis focuses on the optimization of the exhaust tract for a racing vehicle designed for a specific competition. The work begins with preliminary calculations of pipe parameters, based on which a model is created for further calculations. Using software tools, engine simulations are performed, the results of which determine the suitable dimensions of the pipe. These dimensions serve as a starting point for the design of a 3D model of a new exhaust tract. Before creating the model, a selection of the muffler location is made with regard to the dynamics of the vehicle. After designing the model, a prototype is manufactured, which is subsequently tested. This work thus represents a comprehensive process from calculations and simulations to the manufacture and testing of the exhaust tract prototype.
