Diploma work is examining the technology of welding the mouthpieces of steam chests, pressure tanks and boiler drums. In the introduction part, principles of submerged-arc welding technology and welding by non-fusible tungsten electrode is described. It specifies application field and examines the possibilities of automatic weld application of mouthpiece for different basic materials together with the proposal of various combinations of welding rod x submerged-arc for APT method. Model piece is designed for verifying the technology, then technologic process of welding the mouthpieces of pressure tanks prepared, followed by practical execution, examining and evaluating of proposed tests and properties of completed weldments.
