Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of the front fairing of the Indian Scout Bobber motorcycle for transporting shipments. I begin with a research paper in which I focus on the turn signals and headlights. Then on motorcycle concepts and their storage compartments. Towards the end of the research, I discuss the sizes of my storage compartments with the limiting dimensions of items to be transported and reflective features. From the knowledge gained in the creation of the research, I started sketching in the next section. Along with this, I created a structure out of steel and tough polystyrene. The construction was used for the subsequent creation of the clay model. After creating the final design, I transferred the fairing into a virtual environment to create a visualization. Finally, I performed a somato-graphic study along with other technical documentation.
