Jiří Fries, Ph.D. The bachelor thesis deals with the design of welding fixtures for the main welded parts of a hydraulically tilting conveyor. The introduction describes the basic requirements for welded structures, welding fixtures, positioning and clamping of parts, and the issue of deformations caused by welding. Based on the acquired knowledge, fixtures are designed for the conveyor spine and other selected welded parts. The thesis describes the design solution of the individual fixtures, including their supporting frames, stop elements and locating elements. In the case of the fixture for the conveyor spine, a modification of the original design is addressed due to the requirements for the accurate positioning of the mounting blocks. The thesis also includes a technical and economic evaluation of the proposed solution and verification of the deflection of the fixture for the conveyor spine by analytical calculation and the finite element method. The designed welding fixtures are presented in the drawing documentation included in the appendix of the bachelor thesis.
