Abstract
ONDRUŠÁK, Martin. Strength Analysis of a Ten-speed Tatra Transmission for Higher Torque Loads. Ostrava, 2021. Master thesis. VSB - Technical University of Ostrava. Thesis supervisor Ing. Petr Maršálek, Ph.D.
Master thesis is dealing with a study about currently used transmissions in company TATRA TRUCKS a.s. The major section of master thesis is a ten-speed transmission, which is described in brief. Master thesis also includes a theoretical possible design of a transmission units and method of a transmission design. The transmission is calculated with examination in bending and contact strength of the gears. In result of that there is a partial change in geometry of the gears. This is so that the gears are strong enough for an input torque, which is increased by the required value of 500 Nm. Afterwards all shafts are verificated. Safety of the shafts meets static and dynamic check. Service life of the basic bearing rating life of the shaft bearings decreased by 51%. In the last chapter there is a static deformation-stress analysis of a gearbox with a reverse gear engaged. The inspection does not comply with static deformation-stress analysis because there is too much axial force at a pin of an inserted wheel. This place is also not structurally adjusted to such a large change in loads.
