Abstract
The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the forging technology and mentions machines suitable for this technology and technical standards containing information important for the forging design process. With the help of these standards, the practical part then designs a forging according to the supplied drawing documentation from MSV Metal a.s. It also includes the numerical simulation of the designed parameters using the Forge software used in MSV Metal a.s. The last part of the practical part is devoted to the financial and time comparison of forging workplaces. The summary of the achieved findings is presented in the final part of the thesis.
