Abstract

The aim of this study concerns the application of laser technology and the optimization of the parameters concerning section of nickel alloy. The theoretical part includes a description of individual types of lasers, their principles and usage. The experimental part focuses on the optimization of section parametres of the Haynes 718 alloy using a gas CO2 laser. This alloy is employed in production of components utilized by the aircraft industry. The actual section is measured with respect to its quality and any accompanying side effects which occur during the process. The summary explains the results achieved in a metallographic laboratory. This study was carried out in association with Honeywell Aerospace Olomouc s.r.o.
