Abstract

The bachelor thesis is focused on surface treatment of metals secreted electrochemically. It evaluates current trends in industrial practice, their importance and possible impact on ecology. The experimental part of the thesis will analyze the physico-mechanical properties of zinc coatings on the automobile parts of the front and rear doors, which consist of a plate and a caliper. It focuses on identifying possible causes of decorative, functional and corrosion-protective properties. To detect the origin of the zinc coating defects, a metallographic survey of the component, a macroscopic and a microscopic method will be used.
