Design aerodynamických bočních ochran proti podjetí návěsu

Abstract

My bachelor thesis deals with the design of aerodynamic side protection against semi-trailer underrun. I start the thesis with a research paper in which I discuss the historical development of aerodynamic shapes of vehicle bodies and aerodynamic elements. Then, I look at the issue of trucks, its available solutions and truck design. After writing the research, I performed an experimental analysis of airflow on a simplified model in Ansys software. In the next section, I started with sketching the designs, and further elaborated the final solution on a physical model at a scale of 1:20, which I used as a basis for creating a 3D model in Rhino 7.For this model I further designed the structural solution. Finally, I developed a somatographic study together with other drawing documentation.
