Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the thermal cutting of steels and the production of sheet metal test sample. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts (theoretical part of the thesis and experimental part of the thesis). In the introduction of the theoretical part, a discussion of the different methods of thermal separation of steel and the requirements for the quality of the cuts is included. The experimental part contains the characterization of the materials used, the production of test samples and the verification of the quality of the cuts. The characterization of the materials includes the designation of the materials, the chemical composition of the melt and the finished product, and the mechanical properties of the melt and the finished product. After the characterisation of the materials, the fabrication of the test samples and their subsequent quality control (checking the average profile height Rz5, macrostructure, microstructure and hardness measurements) was carried out. The work is concluded with the evaluation of the test samples and their comparison.
