Abstract

The bachelor thesis is focused on creating an own solution for a smart trash bin using the Arduino platform. The introduction describes Arduino boards and compatible hardware elements. The individual components are described in detail in terms of the principle of their function. The following part is a comparison of already implemented solutions for smart trash bins, both commercial and homemade. In the practical part, attention is paid to the design of hardware elements and the subsequent solution of the basket.
