Ing. František Helebrant, CSc. The dissertation deals with assessment of maintenance system in manufacturing plant. It characterizes the maintenance itself, its history and development up to modern trends. Next, it deals with the company and maintenance management. It highlights the benefits of using maintenance information system. It explains in more detail the term and implementation of total productive maintenance. It continues by presenting the maintenance organization in certain company and its aproaches and procedures. In other chapters the thesis describes employed maintenance systems and future plans for more effective management and execution of the maintenance.
