Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with engineering design and strength control of workshop
lever shears. The introduction present different types of shears designed for cutting metal
sheets, strips and sections. Next there is described cutting process from a technological
point of view, shear force determination for the cutting off the specific
materials and determination of shearing gap. The main part deals with engineering
design of the shears with specified input parametres. Finally it is done a strength control
of critical components. Partial drawing documentation is contained in the enclosure
of the bachelor thesis.
