This bachelor thesis, which is based on the audit of Quality of Management System realized at Vesuvius Solar Crucibles, s.r.o., focuses on description of various instruments and tools through which quality can be monitored and efficiently moulded according to the company´s standards and primarily, the customers´ requirements. The key condition of a good quality process is stability. In order to ensure process stability through vigilant monitoring of sudden changes or to achieve stability, various methods are employed. Such methods are described in the bachelor thesis, which further deals with tools such as “audits”, what they are used for and how they are conducted. The focus is also put on techniques used for detection of the root cause of a problem, e.g. the 8D Problem Solving process and analysis of potential failure modes through FMEA.
