Abstract
In this bachelor's thesis, I dealt with the design and construction of a parametrically adjustable link for mechanisms with a closed kinematic loop, specifically for the Bennett mechanism. The aim was to design a system that allows easy and precise adjustment of the length and rotation angle of the links. This parameter adjustment enables the reconfiguration of the end-point trajectory without the need to replace rigid hardware parts.
In the first part of the thesis, I researched and analysed possible technical solutions for changing the length and angle, including methods for their reliable locking. Based on the evaluation of stiffness, kinematic limitations, and manufacturing complexity, I selected the optimal variant from the proposed concepts. The chosen solution, utilizing a telescopic mechanism with eccentric levers and a modified joint node, was subsequently developed into a final 3D model. The conclusion of the thesis consists of a force analysis of the mechanism performed in Creo Parametric software, control calculations of deflection, and an approximate price estimate for the production of the designed device.
