The master´s thesis deals with Replacing Drum Lift for Rope Lift with Gearless Machine. The opening part contains basic characteristic of elevators, their history in the World generally and in Czech Republic. Further part distributes types of Lift by Norm, by types of drive and describes components, used for Lift design. In the next part is described principle of drum lifts with machine room above or under the well and also the principle of rope lifts with gearless machine. The following is a design of replacement and calculation by Norm ČSN EN 81-1+A3. Finally, the choice of components and the Anchoring calculation are given. Drawings attached to this thesis, contains vertical and horizontal cross-sections through the well and machine room and also drawing of the machine frame.
