Abstract
The thesis focuses on designing axial hydrostatic bearing, which belongs to a group of plain bearings. These produce oil bearing layer between two sliding surfaces with external pressure source. The bearing is a part of a turntable of the milling machine CNC 4600 DF, which is used for machining processing crankshafts used for two-stroke combustion engine on the boats. The aim of the thesis is to define mathematical model of flow in narrow gap with the assistance CFD program Fluent and the subsequent application of axial hydrostatic bearing. Based on the resulting pressure and velocity field in fluidized bed, there will be structural adjustments of bearing geometry made.
