Abstract
The presented bachelor thesis deals with the design of a methodology for testing composite tubes intended to produce sports paddles. The introductory part of the work focuses on brief literary analysis of composite materials, methods of testing composite materials, the use of acoustic emission methods and paddle stress. Based on the literature, a methodology for testing composite tubes was proposed, consisting in the application of three-point bending while recording the acoustic emission signal. The proposed methodology was applied to tube samples of three types of materials. The evaluation of the results focuses on the comparison of selected properties of tubes and materials and the identification of damage mechanisms of composite materials.
