Abstract
The topic of my thesis is to travelling bucket wheel excavators weighing 4,000 tons. Travel is the chassis, which is one of the main components of bucket wheel excavators deployed in extraction pit mine. In the first part I created a list of the types of chassis, basic classification, description, structure and function.
The main aim of my thesis is to create the design for walking chassis excavator weighing 4,000 tons. Design solution based on the concept walking chassis with four rectilinear motors. In successive chapters I performed the basic calculation of linear motors walking chassis upon which I determined the dimensions for the design of vertical linear motor. For both engineering design I worked a text description and drawings, which are annexed to this work.
