The bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a 3D model of an existing water jet cutting machine for later modernization of Z axis. The introduction compares available water jet cutting systems and brief introduction to this technology. Then the workplace, measure procedure and identifying of used components is described. Based on the measurements, a 3D model of the machine and the technical drawings of specified parts are made. At the end, the modification of positioning axis Z on a computer controlled is designed.
