Konstrukční úprava podpůrných svářečských sloupů

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the design modification of supporting welding column, aimed at ensuring safe routing of cables and hoses while improving the ergonomics and safety of the welding workplace. The introduction outlines the basic characteristics of welding methods (MIG, MAG, TIG, and laser welding) and the requirements for securing the welding workplace in accordance with Czech legislation. This is followed by a detailed analysis and evaluation of the existing column design and specific requirements for structural modifications. Through design proposals, static calculations, and testing of initial column versions, three final column variants were developed. The main modifications included the introduction of a friction brake for arm rotation and a suspended rail system for the movement of the wire drum and welding apparatus feeder. The result is a final column design that meets the requirements for increased stability, improved assembly, and ensured versatility for various welding equipment. The proposed design covers the needs of most welding workplaces at SSI Schäfer s.r.o. Hranice.
