Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the competitiveness of a company, and based on the results, suggest solutions for improving the current situation. The thesis is process within the company Váhala a spol. s r. o., production and distribution of meat products and delicatessen items. Several methods have been chosen to analyze this competitiveness, including the analysis of external and internal surroundings of the company. The thesis is divided into six main chapters. A theoretical data chapter will explain key concepts and basic methods to evaluate competitiveness. Another chapter will present information about the history and present situation of the company. An application chapter will use some of the methods described in the theoretical chapter (e.g. PEST analysis, analysis of the five competitive forces, VRIO method, etc.), as well as analyze the results of the customer satisfaction survey. A final chapter will offer a brief summary using SWOT analysis, as well as recommendations to improve the current situation of the company.
