Analytické a numerické řešení ojničního oka

Abstract

Thesis focuses on numerical and analytical methods for evaluating the strength of a connecting rod eye, an important component in many mechanical systems. In the introduction, the principle of the crank mechanism is explained and the function of the connecting rod eye is described; then an evaluation of its physical and mechanical properties and a load analysis are conducted. Furthermore, equations describing the behavior of the connecting rod eye and loads it is subjected to are formulated. In the following chapters, the thesis first addresses the analytical solution; then presents the numerical solution based on the finite element method, followed by a comparison of the results where applicable. Emphasis is placed on critical areas of the proposed design that most significantly influence strength and their evaluation is carried out in order to ensure adequate safety.
