Abstract

Master thesis is dealing with engineering design of vertical lathe for railway wheels machining. At the beginning are summarized principles of turning technology. The machine and workpiece characteristics is made. The most important parts of the machine are described in more detail. Solution of drive and bearing deposit is designed in more variants. On the basis of evaluation is chose an optimal variant.
