Abstract
The first part deals with the history of specific regional airports in the Czech Republic. Then, it is described the general economic viability of regional airports in the Czech Republic and in the European Union to help the reader to understand the following chapters, which are specifically addressed to the particular regional civilian airport in the Czech Republic.
The airports, which are mentioned, are: Brno – Tuřany Airport, Karlovy Vary Airport and Leoš Janáček Airport in Ostrava - Mošnov. The specific information about the airports, which are compulsorily published in the press release and annual reports, were taken from the website of the Ministry of Interior.
