Abstract

The thesis deals with the design and purchase of a wax ring dryer in the pre-production stage before the pressing process. In the first part, I focus on the general characteristics of the issue, the theory of project management, ergonomics and tools for process and root cause analysis. Furthermore, the company Vesuvius Česká republika a.s. is introduced, as well as the process of producing refractory ceramics for continuous steel casting, with a subsequent focus on ladle shrouds with an argon groove and their measurement. After the analysis, an evaluation is performed, on the basis of which a new method of heating wax rings is proposed by purchasing and implementing a dryer. This is an overall optimization of the wax ring heating process. In the conclusion, the benefits of optimization are summarized along with the work standard.
