Abstract

The thesis deals with tightening chains for conveyors. The chain wears and occurs to its progressive extension. For correct running it is necessary, that the chain has been sufficiently tightened. For this use it serves different types of tensioning devices which can compensate to chain's elongation. A part of the thesis is also testing lengthening chain on a chain conveyor, depending on the number of executed cycles. Test was conducted using the tightening device from a compression spring, which was inconvenient due to excessive wear of the guiding axis.
