Abstract

The aim of Bachelor thesis is the analysis of the 9 mm Luger pistol – ammunition intended for official police purposes. The bachelor thesis is divided into six logically related chapters. The first chapter deals with a history of projectile, its construction scheme according to standards and also with a classification according to the application method. The second chapter provides an overview of the available cartridges on the market along with a description of their characteristics. The third part of the thesis includes an overview of basic technical characteristics and ballistic projectiles as well as their computational relations. The fourth section focuses on the effects of bullets on the target and methods of. This chapter is associated with the experimental determination of wounds and aggressive effects of selected projectiles. The final part of the work is concentrated on designing evaluation criteria ballistic and functional properties compared projectiles and their comparison. Contribution of this thesis is to compare the available service ammunition and assess their suitability for professional purposes.
