Abstract

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to design a drive that tightens rope in a shunting rail device. Theoretical part of this work pays attention to history and also the present of the shunting rail devices. In the end of the theoretical part, variants of solutions are suggested. The practical part of the work is focused on technical calculations of the chosen variant. In accordance with the calculations appropriate linear hydraulic motor is chosen, which secures the required tightening of the rope pulley. The documentation is made for the chosen motor. Finally, a manual for the service and maintenance of the device can be found.
