Abstract
The bachelor’s thesis deals with choosing appropriate grinding technology, optimization of cutting conditions, and measuring dimensions of a certain product – a monolith turning tool made of cemented carbide. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The first part includes the basic information about grinding and cemented carbide. The practical part describes the technical parameters of a grinding center where the turning tool was produced. The main attention is focused on measuring and controlling the dimensions of the fabricated product. The technical and economic evaluation together with the description of the main optimization techniques performed at the production of the tool that lead to the final production time reduction are described in the conclusion of the thesis.
