Abstract

The goal of this paper is to evaluate different types of cooperation of a chosenmunicipality. The hypothesis of the work: The municipality does not always choose types of cooperation that are a benefit. In this meaning a benefit is considered received grants that were gained through a certain program in an amount that was higher than the invested funds. The partial goal of the work is focused on comparing expenses of municipalities that have approximately the same amount of inhabitants. The first part is focused on the theoretical principles of the municipality’s economy and the types of cooperation between municipalities. The second chapter concerns the municipality’s economy, characterizing the types of cooperation that the municipality uses and the level of expenses the municipality has due to these cooperations. The last part focuses on the actual analysis of the cooperation. The evaluation of incomes and expenses is on the basis of calculating with the amount of inhabitants, portion of the municipality budget and on the basis of the created balance. Recommendations for solving the inactive cooperation come after this analysis. The goal of the paper was fulfilled and from the cooperation analysis it arises that the municipality does not always use types of cooperation that are beneficial. Sometimes the municipalities start to use a type of cooperation and pay regular member fees and after years they do not even realize that the chosen type of cooperation is in loss and that they could use the financial resources in a different way.
