Abstract

The project deals with the design and implementation of an application which allow sorting of workpieces on a the laboratory model using a web camera. This camera is positioned above the laboratory model of a part of production line and is controlled through the VisionLab and Control Web system. The intermediary between the Web Control programme and the laboratory model is an input /output DataLab IO4/USB unit that sets the inputs and reads the outputs from the model.

The machine vision system sets the required features and steps performed by the camera. Then an application that controls and visualizes the whole proces sis created in the Control Web system. The thesis also includes a description of the created applications, instructions on how to enable communication between the components, and the instructions for practical exercises.
