Abstract

Master thesis is dealing with studies focusing on gearboxes for heavy goods vehicles (HGV). In the introduction is briefly described structure of the HGV and main characteristics gearboxes of these vehicles. After this follow structural description of 17 gearboxes from four manufacturers in the world. For gearboxes are drawn schemas and kinematic schemas with torque curve for the appropriate transfer. Work continues by comparing the above gearboxes. Further are selected three main gearboxes and they are compared in details. At the end is selected gearbox for geometric and strength calculation with using computer programs. The outputs from these programs are in annexes of this thesis. Is also attached detailed schematic drawing of selected gearbox .
