The bachelor thesis deals with the effective use of small watercourses. The introduction describes what energy is, what the basic distributions of energies are and where this energy occurs. There is also a comparison of the use of renewable energy sources in recent years. The next part is the division of power plants and their partial description. Since this is the use of small watercourses, most theory is devoted to hydroelectric power plants. In the practical part, I chose a watercourse in the Czech Republic, where it would be possible to implement a project that will have the task of using the energy of a small watercourse. The return on investment is also calculated here.
