The bachelor thesis deals with comparison of the cogeneration unit with the piston internal combustion engine and the microturbine. The thesis includes a description of both types of units, their advantages and disadvantages. Explanation of electrical and thermal energy, cogeneration. Calculation of the calorific value of natural gas during combustion and three different modifications of the cogeneration unit with microturbine. In the end, the resulting values are compared between each other and the piston internal combustion engine.
