Konfigurace a testování triple play služby IPTV v pasivní optické síti

Abstract

This master’s thesis is engaged on the problems of IPTV Triple Play service in a passive optical network. The main goal of this thesis is to configure the network for the purpose of the testing and determining at which network throughput is possible to use IPTV. The testing of individual network parameters is carried out according to the method EtherSam. The theoretical part deals with description of Triple Play services focused on IPTV service with more details. The conclusion of this part devotes methods RFC 2544 and EtherSam which are used for testing of network parameters as well as Triple Play service. The practical part is primarily focused on configuration of network elements which were used and on measuring instruments. It includes descriptions and evaluation of the IPTV tests that have been carried out. The testing is aimed at identifying the maximum reach of the network during multicasting and comparison of parameters different bit rate if there is a reduced network throughput in different types of the video streaming.
