Abstract

Bachelor thesis is dealing with methods for calculating, analysing and evaluating the idle time on a particular workplace of an industrial company. The opening theoretical part is concerned with the general problematics of idle time, its division, measurement and elimination. It is followed by the identification of work problems and setting of work goals. The practical part describes the company and observed workplace, its specifications and characteristics. Furthermore, the measurement of time consumption at the workplace and the collection of data needed to calculate OEE are carried out. Consequently, the evaluation of the measured data and the calculation of the OEE indicator are performed. The conclusion is focused on the appraisal of the whole bachelor thesis and on improving the current state of the idle time problematic. It also suggests the ways of improving the functioning of the whole workplace and reducing or completely eliminating idle time.
