Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of numerical simulation in machining. The introductory part presents a review of the current state, which includes several studies that have dealt with the issue. Additionally, the fundamental principles of machining processes necessary for the given issue are outlined. Numerical methods, such as the finite element method, which form the basis for simulation software, are also described. The main component of the thesis is precisely the simulation of machining in engineering and software designed for this process. In the final section, an overview of the most used software for machining simulation is provided, including their description, advantages, and disadvantages.
