Abstract

Dissertation focuses on the problem of surface treatment, namely the study of the influence of pretreatment of metal substrate on the corrosion resistance of the coating systems containing nanoelementy. In the theoretical part of the thesis investigated and described in detail the existing knowledge about the surface of the steel substrate. There are studied the characteristics of the surface, surface tension, wettability, surface integrity and ultimately modern methods of surface analysis. Since the subject of examination material surfaces metallurgical production, there is also mention of rolling technology and the production of the rolled seamless pipes. Detail is also described blasting technology, which is among the most commonly used surface preparation of steel bridge structures. The experimental part of the work is virtually divided into 3 sub-sections, which were experimentally tested substrates and coating systems for long-term and short-term corrosion protection. The trend today is to use paint systems that can be applied in thin layers to reduce the overall costs and the environmental impact on the environment, thus coating systems with minimal VOC substances. Were therefore purposely selected and then modified coating systems meet these requirements. The results of experimental work determined that the base material is suitable for use in coating systems based on nanoparticles, and whether these coating systems can then be used in practice.
